As a student navigating the exciting challenges of university life, at the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse, I found myself pondering a question that was seemingly lost to the academic masses: What creates an outlier of success, as compared to the average?
In my quest for answers, I embarked on a journey that questions the boundaries of conventional education. Despite juggling the responsibilities of club presidencies, nurturing meaningful relationships, and maintaining straight A’s, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that there had to be more to life than just checking off boxes.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to exceed expectations, I majored in finance and communications. With these two fields at the focal point, I’ve learned about two of the most important aspects of business, the complexities of numbers and the variability of human dynamics.
The Birth of The Scholarly Coin: My Story
Through countless late nights and headaches, I’ve asked myself, “What do I have to do to succeed” While that answer is still unknown, I created this blog to share the experiences I’ve had, the knowledge I’ve gained, and the growth I’ve seen. The Scholarly Coin is the birth of a dream I had long ago, to share knowledge and to challenge myself to continued growth. In essence this is the vessel to hold myself accountable and to solidify knowledge as it’s learned.
